The unit is used for truing the diameter of a grinding wheel and comprises a face type diamond wheel (11, 15). This diamond wheel is positioned (16) above and parallel to the grinding wheel diameter, perpendicular to the circumferential face (1) to be sized. A convex or concave profile enables dishing or rounding to be accomplished. In the same plane and below the grinding wheel diameter are two complementary diamond wheels (12, 32). These are cylindrical, cut on their sides (27) and on a radiused shoulder (28) and are placed each side of the grinding wheel to true these.
