There are movable elevating working stages with a working platform which is vertically movable on an articulated mast relative to the bearing surface of the elevating working stage. In this arrangement, the articulated mast consists of at least two arms which can be adjusted in inclination in planes vertical to the bearing plane and are connected to one another in an articulated manner. In such elevating working stages, the angle between the bearing plane of the elevating working stage and the ideal horizontal plane, insofar as it impairs the stability, is to be compensated for by limiting the motion space of the boom system. To this end, the resulting inclination range of the articulated mast arms is corrected by the angle between the bearing plane of the elevating working stage and the ideal horizontal plane.
