The effect of substances on constituents of the blood for the detection of infectious and immunological processes can be determined by mixing blood samples with a sodium citrate solution and with a mixture which contains a) a boric acid and sodium citrate solution mixture, b) a sodium chloride solution, and c) a solution of substances to be tested diluted or homeopathically prepared in a ratio of at least 1 : 102. The serum is removed from the mixture after the end of the reactions and a substance released from the erythrocytes is then determined. This process, which can be used for blood examinations, is highly specific, accurate and can be carried out at low cost. A very high safety quotient is achieved.
