A distributor (1) for molten materials, in particular molten mineral materials, in which a) a heating element (3) around which the molten material flows is located within a distributor crucible (1) containing the molten material, b) the heating element (3) has, on its underside, conical projections (4) for dividing the molten material into a plurality of individual melt streams and c) the heating element (3), at least with the lower region of the conical projections (4), projects out of the crucible (1) through one or more aperture or apertures (2) provided in the underside of the distributor crucible (1).
