PURPOSE:To eliminate key data and to save the memory capacity, by coding Japanese words by providing a matrix table in which a Japanese word corresponds to each combination of permutations of two alphabet letters of capital ans small letters. CONSTITUTION:Four combinations aa, Aa, aA and AA, for example, are obtained with internal letters of A from combinations of permutations of two letters of 52 types of alphabet capital and small letters, and 2,704 (4X26X26) ways of combinations in all are obtained with addition of combinations of optional letters of each alphabet. A Japanese word is set to correspond to these combinations of alphabet letters to form a matrix table, and the Japanese word groups are divided into at least two parts. Then the head address of a memory is decided for each group, and the correspondence code of a Japanese word is stored alphabetically in the memory for two corresponding alphabet letters. The two alphabet letters corresponding to a desired Japanese word are fed through a keyboard, and therefore the head memory address and its corresponding address of each group are designated via an arithmetic process. Then the code data of the contents of the designation is read out, and the corresponding front can be delivered.
