The door covers the entire opening, has at least one slit closed by e.g. a sliding clasp fastener, and is opened by hoist type lifting machine. A direct vertical lift is applied to the centre of the bottom of the panel which then folds up concertina fashion into a retracted position overhead. The fold lines are subdivided by the vertical centre line (20) and progressively incline relative to the horizontal and with height. The foot of the panel is fixed to a bar which has a central pin joint. Each lateral extremity of the bar is pinned to a runner which travels on side rails. The door is lifted by a cable from a winch to the centre of the bar.
