An adhesive part for indicating tolerance limits for a measuring device or a dial indicator, which is formed by a tolerance limit indicating piece of a flexible material which is coloured, transparent or the like, is provided at its rear with an adhesive layer and is applied to a dial indicator lid or to a measuring plate of a measuring device, where it is fixed. The aforementioned adhesive part is cut out of a piece of adhesive area from a flexible material which is provided with an adhesive layer at the rear and which is removably applied to a base material such as a support. The aforementioned piece of adhesive area is provided with division in accordance with the division of the measuring device for which the adhesive part is to be used as intended. These divisions are provided along the cut-out part of the adhesive part. A predetermined part of the adhesive part is cut out, using the divisions for defining the tolerance limits.
