The invention relates to a process for the production of a tube-bundle cross-flow heat exchanger. The invention is characterised in that a) in a first process step at least the inner circumferential edge of the hole in the perforated plate is lined with a sleeve, b) in the second process step the tube is pushed through the sleeve and c) in a third process step the tube is deformed radially outwards by means of an expansion tool in the region of the upper and lower edge of the hole in the perforated plate. The invention eliminates the use of a plastically curing casting (pourable sealing) compound, e.g. a silicone rubber. Fig. 5 shows a vertical section through the upper fixing of a tube in the perforated plate, showing an unexpanded and an expanded tube. IMAGE
