A combined lining and frame for a garden pond etc. comprises an impermeable foil which is laid over the base and up the slopes of the excavation, together with a frame composed of elements laid around the rim of the pond and connected together, pref. having an outward extending flange and raised rim. The elements may be connected to one another by screwing, bolting, riveting, or gluing. Pref. material for the frame elements includes PVC, ABS. The foil is pref. made of PVC.
