The combustion chamber fuel atomising appts. comprises a cylindrical compartment with an arrangement for swirling incoming air and a coaxial mixing chamber connected to the other by a cylindrical passage. A cylindrical fuel pipe running through this passage has a perforated portion projecting into the mixing chamber. This portion (7) ends a distance (1) equal to one third the mixing chamber dia. (d) upstream from its outlet. One or more atomising air inlets (8) branch tangentially into the mixing chamber adjoining its upstream end. A cylindrical casing (14) around both chambers (1,5) with them forms an annular duct (15) carrying air to the combustion chamber (16).
