A development system for digital system is based upon individual function modules that are readily plugged together using plugs and sockets located on the side faces. A typical module (1) is designed to provide the processing of an eight bit binary number followed by the display of seven segment numbers. Information is entered over 8 side pins (4) and may transmitted to other modules over a group of eight sockets (5). Two seven segment LED or LED displays (2) on the surface of the module. Built in circuitry (6) allows the two four bit codings to be converted into 7 segment signals. A range of modules e.g. memories, registers, etc., may be interconnected to form a system.
