Downstream of the burner mixer tube, a tube having an internal diameter greater than the external diameter of the mixer tube is mounted, generally coaxial with it. This tube has an annular deflector plate fixed at each of its ends; the central orifice of each plate is of smaller diameter than the internal diameter of the tube and the outer diameter of the deflector plate is greater than the outer diameter of the tube. Around the junction between each deflector plate and the end of the tube there is a series of apertures providing communication between outside and inside of the tube. The tube and the deflector plates are of ceramic material having a high resistance to temperature changes.
