Wideband couplers for various branches of a high frequency coaxial transmission cable in the VHF and UHF range such as for television transmission. Reflection and feedback is reduced to a minimum. Each branch coaxial cable is connected to the main cable via a corresponding network. The branch networks form a chain link. In each network the inner conductor of the main cable is connected in series with the primary of a transformer. The secondary of each of these transformer has a ballast resistor whose value is approximately equal to the characteristic impedance of the branch line. The other end of the resistor is connected to earth. Each branch line is connected via a bandpass filter tuned to the coupling frequency.
