Method for applying a liquid, hardening material (15) into cracks in an underwater construction (1), e.g. a bridge pillar, at which a flexible shell impenetrable to fluid (3) is applied around the underwater construction (1), of which the shell, up to the edges in the water has a hollow wall (9, 11), that is open toward the surface (1) of the construction. After sealing the edges of the shell (3) in order to make it water-tight, water is removed from the enclosure (6), that is partially filled with liquid, hardenable material (15), whereby air is then evacuated from the enclosure (6) and the hollow wall (9, 11) in order to establish a difference in pressure, over the existing enclosure in the water, which is sufficient enough in order to press the hardening material (15) into the cracks. The material (15) is then allowed or made to solidify.IMAGE
