The air-circulation, conditioning and ventilation system is for use e.g. in large halls. Air movement is generated by one or more fans, while fresh air is added and stale air discharged. Inside the hall, the air is drawn in at one or more points near floor level (1) and blown vertically upwards. This can be done at points which are spaced apart and clear of the walls, vertical conduits (9) being mounted on the floor with inlets (10) near the latter and outlets at least at the height of a man above it. Fans (12) in the conduits draw the air in and discharge it through the upwards-aimed outlets.
