The hand grenade explodes on impact. It has a retard mechanism and signal if the grenade has fallen without going off. The grenade can be handled without danger. The sight indication has a number of radial holes (26) in the fuse (18). These communicate with the primer and each hole has a pyrotechnic filling (28) protected from outside by a cover (30), visible at a distance. The hole ends finish in an axial passage (16) joining the fuse and detonator (24), at a point between them.
