The modifier for a sequence programme used in a programmable sequencer allows the programme to be modified or corrected by an operator while observing a scaled diagram on a screen. Modification of a sequence programme is effected manually via a keyboard (21) connected to the processor (22) with a buffer memory (23) in which the sequence programme is stored. The programme relates to a sequence circuit (10) comprising a memory (11) and logic control circuit (12) with input (13) and output (14) circuits. The control assembly circuit follows instructions from its memory and responds to instructions from the processor in response to commands issued via the keyboard. This allows the programme to be rearranged while the VDU screen (27) is observed while indicating the sequence diagram.
