The wet process sand-blasting nozzle has a tubular body 10). Dry sand enters at one axial extremity (12) under eg compressed air impulsion, and the wet sand issues at the opposite extremity (15). A cross-wall (18) divides the body into two intercommunicating chambers (A1, A2), water under pressure being introduced (26, 28) through the cross wall to be directed towards the outlet (15). The arrangement obtains a more violet jet of wet dust-free sand. The water issues from an ancillary nozzle (30) which may align on the body axis, and the chambers (A1, A2) may have equal vols with balanced intercommunicating apertures. In addn. the cross-wall (18) may be demountable and interchangeable in accordance with partic sand characteristics.
