摘要
The aircraft of canard configuration with twin rudders has these on either side of the fuselage, mounted on the wings which also have trailing-edge flaps. In the wing (6) portions between the fuselage (3) and rudder fins (1,2) there are ventilating flaps (11,12) immediately forward of the trailing-edge flaps (13,14), hinged along their forward edge. When raised, each flap opens a duct through the wing discharging ahead of the rudder hinge-line. Both sets of flaps extend full-width between the fuselage and rudder fin, remaining in contact with the fuselage at all angles. This portion of trailing-edge flap operates also as a trimming flap.
