Reactive printing paste comprising reactive dyes, conventional printing paste additives and thickeners contains as thickener an acrylic acid polymer and/or maleic acid copolymer which are opt. no longer completely water soluble through chemical crosslinking. The acrylic acid polymer of maleic acid copolymer is pref. in salt form contg. an alkali(ne earth) metal, ammonium or ammonium cpd. cation and may be crosslinked with a divinyl cpd. CH2:CH-R-CH:CH2 (where R is alkyl, alkylether or benzyl). There is no loss of colour yield due to side reactions of the thickener with the dye or emulsifier.
