In a colour television set three anodes (3, 4, 5) for controlling the red, green and blue electron guns of the colour tube (1) are connected through respective variable resistors (25, 21, 29) of a regulating circuit (9) to sweep and control circuits (11, 12). The resistors preset the level of each primary colour making up the tube image. Connecting the resistors to the control circuits are two potentiometers (12, 18) a first (18) of which interconnects the red and blue resistors (25, 24) and the second (17) connects the slider of the first (18) with the green resistor (21). The slider of the second connecting with the control circuits (12). The sliders of the two potentiometers are connected top a common spindle to enable a user to adjust the present level of the colours relative to one another within a restricted range. This enables minor adjustments to be made to take account of environmental effects and aging of the tube.
