The prehensory circuit breaker has a rocker switch (11) which retains a cartridge fuse (14) in a recess. In the closed position of the switch (11) the fuse is inaccessible in the body of the circuit breaker and electrically connects terminals (17, 18) in a live cable. In the open position contact between the fuse and the terminals is broken and the fuse exposed for removal. The switch also controls a spring biassed contact arm (26) which connects two further terminals (28, 24) in the body of the switch. These terminals may be connected in a neutral cable. the contact arm (26) is actuated by a rocker arm (37) in turn controlled by a cam (40) on the switch. Opening the switch moves the contact arm (26) for disconnection with the neutral cable. Closing the switch closes the contact arm (26).
