In the processing of paper pulp, the prodn. of a continuous sheet of fibrous particulate material is effected from a highly conc. suspension. The suspension, comprising several parallel partial flows or currents, is delivered tangentially so as to cause rotation in a mixing chamber where the straight section is formed. The suspension, thus forced into rotation within the chamber, is then emptied from it, the direction of its movement being deviated by an angle of 90-180 degrees. By creating a rotary flow in the mixing chamber, and deviating the flow of the suspension at the chamber exit, the lines of concn. and of speed may become balanced, and at the same time, the obstruction of the exit opening with fibre flakes may be avoided.
