The sanding tool comprises a block (1) to which a handle (2) is attached, the block mounting using a block-integral internally threaded sleeve (12) receiving and externally threaded sleeve (15) whose head (16) is built into the handle. The block may comprise a rubber pad (5) with a curve tapered circular mounting block (11) built axially onto the rear face, the mounting block being of plastics in which the sleeve (12) is embedded during moulding. The knob may comprise a shallow inverted cylindrical cup with externally rounded segmental walls being of a similar construction to the mounting block, and having a greater dia. than the mounting block.
