The stud has a hollow tear drop base, which is hollow, and is fitted with a flange (12) which rests on the upper surface of the plate (4) when the stud is in position. The flange is kept in position by the ring (7) which catches under the edge of the hole in the plate. A raised flange (5) and a central rib (6) are integral with the flange. The moulding strip (2) is shaped to cover the top of the stud and is folded over at the edges so as to hook under the raised flange (5). The strip is finally located by means of a filler along the edges between the plate and the strip.
