The system relates to the control of the amplitudes A1 and A2 of two sinusoidal voltages at frequencies F1 and F2, where f1 and f2 not mutually divisible. No term is unity and the sum of terms is at least five. Both voltages are applied to a limiter whose limited amplitude is smaller than one tenth of the sum of voltage amplitudes. The limiter output signal is filtered, so that at least one of the oscillations, f1 and f2 is separated from the output signal. The separated signal amplitude is measured. In an experimental arrangement two generators (1, 2) for the frequencies f1 and f2 combine the functions in a localiser (3) whence it splits into two peters (4, 41) and level detectors (5, 51).
