The ski boot is provided with an ankle sleeve (22), which encloses extension plates (12, 14, 16) of the front heel shell, an inner shoe and an inner shoe covering sleeve (20). Like the ankle sleeve, this sleeve can be tightened in the peripheral direction. This sleeve is fastened above the ankle joint (18) to an extension plate (16) which runs along or next to the Achilles tendon line. In order that the covering sleeve can be easily tightened and relaxed, it preferably protrudes for at least a part of the periphery up over the extension plates and the angle sleeve, where it is provided with tightening elements.
