The wind driven hand held sail consists of sail cloth stretched over two main spars as well as transverse rod. The sail is held in the user's hand and is driven forwards by the wind. The cut of the sail and its frame is prod. so that when a change of direction is necessary the position of the sail can be adjusted while the forward movement in the new direction can be continued. The pipe frame and the holding grips are shaped so that both arms are subjected to equal loads, also after a change in the direction of movement. The sail made from light materials such as sail cloth or PVC foil can be attached to the pipe frame without the use of special tools.
