The filter consists of a single wave waveguide reactively loaded by discontinuities at certain intervals. The waveguide is rectangular and discontinuities consists of unidimensional E-plane shifting whose electric equivalent circuit consists of only one shunt reactance. The filter design consists of waveguide sections staggered in the E-plane known from the literature but using a specified table giving the capacitive shunt reactance of the E-plane discontinuity the waveguide characteristic impedance and various dimensions.
