We claim: 1. A process for the production of common and engineering bricks, building blocks, roofing tiles, moulded building structural units and the like by mixing raw materials with binder, accelerator and water in a mixer or pugger for 15-20 minutes wherein the raw materials consist of waste products based on burning pulverised coal in coal fired thermal power station viz. fly ash and bottom ash and ashale ash/ash from washery rejects, and/or sinks, the raw materials are proportioned to obtain a ratio of CaO and SiO2 between 1:4.5 to 1:6.5 which is required to develop pozzolanic reaction in the final mix for the formation of clacium silicate hydrate, accelerating agents are added to the mix, and the mix is moulded in a suitable mould and pressed to give the moulded shapes like standard building bricks, roofing tiles buildings blocks and the like characterised in that the accelerating agents are incorporated according to the strength desired in the product in accordance with a relation between the quality and quantity of accelerating agent added and the strength of the final product as shown in the following examples, 1 to 5 (example 6 is given merely for comparison to show the result without accelerator as compared with the effect of addition of accelerating agent and shows the difference in strength when curing time is kept constant).
