Fibrous sheet for covering walls comprises a laminate of a layer of fibrous material or flock, a sheet of film which is permeable to air but impermeable to moisture, and an intermediate layer of cellular material, pref. of polyurethane foam or expanded PVC. The fibrous layer may be adhesive-bonded to the foam, opt. is also printed or embossed. The film is pref. fusion bonded to the foam interlayer. The foam interlayer confers insulation, makes imperfections in the supporting wall and tolerates differential expansion between the fabric and structural components.
