Memorial tablet consists of a preformed methyl methacrylate sheel, religious emblems, epitaphs, etc. embedded in polymerisable resin, a decorative backing and a stand to keep the tablet at the required angle. The resin is pref. methyl methacrylate, polyester or epoxide- 'epikote' - polyurethane. The stand may be removable. Prodn. is simplified as compared with tablets produced from transparent polyester resin alone, and the tendency to yellow under the effect of sunlight is reduced.
