The hermetic junction is for a pneumatic conveyor transporting goods in containers through tubes, having a tube section hinging at one end on the tube so as to join its other end to one of several other tubes. A guide is provided for the containers past the hinge point. The guide mechanism comprises two components directing the containers, each forming part of the tube and situated at opposite sides of the hinge pin joining the swinging tube section to the main one. The components slide at right angles to the main tube section, so as to fit in one or the other of the gaps between the chamfered end of the main tube and the swinging section.
