The anti-dazzle fence for use on the central reserve of motorways has laminar plastics rails (1) at vertical intervals and with the major rail faces inclined to the vertical. The fence may be mounted on brackets (2) above a vehicle impact safety fence (4), and offers minimal wind resistance. Vertically successive rails (1', 1) are offset relative to one another in the transverse sense to provide a plan-view inter rail space. the spacing of the rails may also provide an inter rail space in elevation. Two or four rails may be used, or supple or semi-supple plastics, and of slender uniform rectangular shape in cross-section.
