In order to scour, clean or pickle steel coils etc. efficiently and in greater quantities this plant comprises a series of interpartitioned baths contg e.g. acis with intercoupled rollers spanning each bath longitudinally their drive being provided by a reduction motor, sited at the end of the line. Each roller is longitudinally serrated and suspends coils which are thus rotated end vibrated (shaking free calamine etc) through the bath below: each roller is elevable from its bearing support facilitating sequential treatments.
