Heat-insulating, protective, coating of window panes or films used to glaze plant conservatories is claimed. A transparent polyethylene foam film is coated with a synthetic resin adhesive on one side so that it can be fastened to the window pane or glazing film. The adhesive is a dispersion of an acrylate. The adhesive-coated film is covered by a silicone paper that is stripped off before application. A varient calls for a polyethylene quilted air-cushion type film instead of the foamed film.
