Additional clamps e.g. expandable pressure jaws (7, 8) are releasably attached to the clamping jaws (1) at the greatest possible distance from the guides in the chuck. A wedge piece (9) is positioned between the pressure jaws. A base plate (10) has two lateral elongated holes, in each of which is screwed a clamping bolt (12). The bolts are screwed into their pressure jaws (7, 8). A pressure bolt (13) located between the clamping bolts has its tip pressed against the surface of the wedge piece (9).
