The machine produces stacks of sheets of paper ready for further processing. It includes a vibratin table adjustable to an inclined position which comprises stop surfaces for the sheet edges. At the side of the table therd is an automatically operating pressure device to press out the air from the stack. A conveyor (3) is positioned behind the table (1) relative to the stack movement. Gripper devices are fitted onto the conveyor to pickup a stack formed on the table. The pressure device consists of a roller positioned on a vertically movable holder between the gripper devices and the table.
