ENGINE WITH VAPOR HEAT TRANSFERCAPSULE FOR INTAKE MIXTURE HEATINGAbstract of the DisclosureAn internal combustion engine is provided with avapor heat transfer capsule mounted between the inlet andexhaust manifolds, below the carburetor, to transferexhaust heat to the intake manifold air-fuel mixture. Theheat transfer capsule includes boiler and condenser sec-tions separated by a regulator plate that includes a vaporflow directing nozzle and a plurality of capillery passagesfor the return of liquid condensate. The regulator plateis insulated from the exhaust manifold, but is in heatexchange relation with the intake manifold to provide apath for the transfer of excess heat out of the condensersection.
