Vehicle has the air intake for the engine, and the exhaust mounted above the engine compartment (4) with the two ducts as a single replacement unit. The exhaust (6) and the intake (5) are mounted in parallel setting, with the air intakes (12) below the exhaust grills (11) to prevent recirculation of the fumes. The double fitting is set edge on to the cab so that the driver's view is unobscured. The system is suited for heavy duty vehicles and provides a more economic fitting than separate ducts.
