The handling and transport fixture is used for handling objects of irregular shape and includes suction cups. This arrangement is used on packing and palletising of irregular components. The handling fixture has a support structure holding an arbitrary number of modular components. Each of these is a hollow body and consists of a flexible or elastic arrangement on the side provided with suction cups. The modular components are completely or partly filled with open or closed pore, flexible foam plastics. These modular components may contain, if necessary, additionally a liquid or gaseous medium. The chambers for the latter are connected by holes to an external pressure or vacuum generating system. Absolute pressure of the medium used is varied in relation to the working cycle.
