Panel comprising layer of thermal insulation under strong material - consists of glass, mineral wool or wood fibre or plastic layer and layer of cement, concrete plastic, metal or wood
Insulating panel, esp. for insulating floors in the roofs of buildings, comprises =1 layer (2) of insulating material with, =1 layer (1) of a material which can withstand stress. The pref. panel has a lower layer (2) made of glass fibres; mineral wool; wood fibres; or foamed plastic. Layer (2) is located under a layer (1) made of concrete; lightweight concrete, which may be reinforced; asbestos cement; a plastic; sheet metal; or wood. The surface of the panel is pref. smoothed and compacted; and layer (1) may be fitted with alternating tongues and grooves for laying the panels in a row. Used to provide easy thermal insulation of the top storey in a multistorey building.
