The unit is used for testing the hearing of a young child. It is connected to the sound emitter and is controlled by the child hears the sound, it is rewarded with a toy or by seeing a short projected film. The inatrament comprises a base (1) for use on a desk, a raised section at the rear holding a self-contained film viewing projector (8). At the front is a hand pedal (4), operated by the child on hearing the sound. This starts the projector, or opens a covered compartment (2, 3, 5) holding the toy, only when a sound is actually emitted.
