An electronic circuit determines automatically weight of liquid flowing for conversion to volume for use in determining doses of pharmaceutical solutions for transfusions. Compensation is provided for conditions such as viscosity and the resistance of patients veins. Fluid flow is automatically measured by an electronic equipment containing a power supply switch and an operational switch which controls the pump and alarm lamp. It also allows flow quantity and time to be numerically displayed. A push button purge switch permits the pump to purge air from the tubes. Programmes for 12 hours are determined from a key board while push buttons allow operation with different size containers.
