A carton blank of rectangular shape to minimise waste is folded longitudinally and side tabs on the bottom stapled or glued to the opposite sides to form two sides (8), a bottom (6), and a top face (7) with an opening (23). Inner end flaps (12) are folded inside, and outer end flaps (13) have side tabls (19) which are inserted into the erected shape and pressed against the inner side faces. By reaching through the top opening the inner flaps can be raised against the outer flap, pasing over the side tabs and holding these in place.
