The vibration switch for a burglar alarm has a closed case with contacts which, when the switch is subjected to vibrations, open a circuit which trips a signalling device. The contacts consist of a first, normally closed contact set (13, 14) with a snap-action. When an adjustable amplitude of vibrations is applied to it, it breaks a previously closed circuit. A second contact set (21-23) is provided within the movement or opening range of the first contact set (13, 14). This set also opens when the first contact set opens. It has an indicating pin (20) which projects from the switch case (1) when the circuit is broken. It remains in this position until both contacts (13, 14, 21-23) are again closed.
