The disposable foil grill tray is preferably made of aluminium foil and has punched-out holes so that it is used once only in place of the grid or as a cooking tray on the grid or as a cooking tray on the grid. The shape and size of the foil can be matched to the grill cooker which is to be used. Depending upon the thickness of the foil the holes should take up between 60 and 70% of the overall surface with the shape of the holes being irrelevant. The size of the holes depends on the food to be cooked and should preferably be in the range from 5 to 30 mm. The stability of the foil can be increased by a firm peripheral strip 10 to 20 mm wide. This grill tray provides a more effective contact between the heat of the fuel source and the food to be cooked whilst still allowing the food to be cooked without soiling the grill.
