The direct heating system for the fluidized bed in furnaces operates with liquid fuel of high boiling point and with a low content of vaporizable components, such as heavy fuel oil. The latter is spread evenly through the area of large beds of furnaces using oxygen-bearing carrier gas like air. The design eliminates deposits and cooking on the orifices feeding the divided flow of fuel-air mixtures, and thus ensures a long-term trouble-free operation. The mixer and distributor (1) is fed with fuel by pipe (2) while the primary atomization air is supplied through line (3). The air for fluidizing is delivered through channel (6) leading to the distributor head (7), and the mixer is surrounded by jacket (10) featuring steam inlet (15) and exhaust (16).
