The sole plate is fastened to the ski by the spring loaded stop and the fixed stop. The toe of the ski-boot is secured by the stirrup. The heel of the boot is secured by the stirrup with ends provided with a radial peg to form a bayonet type fixing with the holes. The bridge end of the stirrup is retained in a groove of a screw which is fitted in the boss of the release lever. The line of action of the tension in the stirrup is so arranged that rotating the lever brings it past dead centre and releases the ski.
