The bar is particularly for securing maps etc. to blackboards, and consists of two profiled strips forming a round cross-section when brought together in the radial direction, of aluminium or plastic (2, 3), each with a leg extending inwards and bent round at the free edges in curves of the same radii or nearly so (8, 9). Thus when fitted together the curved portions engage with each other. At the opposite side there are two further portions (12, 13) locking together, typically having internal and external beads engaging together. The outermost portion can have a strengthening rib of roughly U-section extending inwards past the innermost portion on the other half.
